In this collaborative session, presentations will be given by four different agencies specializing in a segment of applicants and products available to help with the tight labor market.  Carole Malotte of AARP will introduce SCSEP, The Senior Community Service Employment Program.  She will talk about the benefits of hiring older workers and why mature workers are shifting gears.  Jathan Chicoine of Home Base Iowa will allow attendees to gain an understanding of HBI and how connecting HBI Businesses, Institutions of Higher Educations, and HBI Communities is inspiring greater excellence in hiring Veterans and spouses in Iowa.  Shelley Seitz is the Reentry Workforce Program Coordinator for Iowa Workforce Development.  Shelly will talk about the employer incentives to hire job seekers with barriers to employment, as well as how you can increase your applicant pool by hiring returning citizens.  Todd Oesterle is the Business Marketing Specialist for our local Iowa Workforce Development office.  Todd will give an introduction to registered apprenticeships and speak on help with hiring needs.
