    History

    The Human Resources Association of North Iowa (HRANI) formed in 1984. It is a chartered chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management. In 2026, we rebranded as SHRM North Iowa, to align more closely with the SHRM Master Brand! This new look and feel reflects out shared values, mission, and goals as we work towards creating better workplaces and a better world. 

    SHRM North Iowa has over 90 members from a diverse cross section of HR practitioners with members from manufacturing, service, staffing and consulting businesses.
